Zahid Hamidi: Unauthorised selling, buying police, armed uniform against the law | New Straits Times

SUBANG JAYA: Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says legal action can be taken against unauthorised individuals selling or buying police or armed forces uniform.

Ahmad Zahid said his ministry has directed police to investigate individuals or premises involved in the sale or purchase of such uniform without approval from the authorities, to avoid any untoward incidents.

He said individuals, be they locals or foreigners, selling police or armed forces uniform can be misused by irresponsible people.

“No shops or tailors can sell police or armed forces uniform without being authorized and it is against the law,” he told reporters, here today when commenting on local daily reports that claimed that foreigners were selling such uniform in the open market. — Bernama
